Summer Slaw
From summer picnics to tailgating, slaws are a must have and are so easy to change up to use seasonally fresh ingredients and flavors. Chef Brandon and Chef Tammy have teamed together to create a fruity and nutty summer slaw ready in just two steps.
Ingredients
1 lb. Cabbage, shredded
1 C. Grapes, Seedless Red
1 C. Mandarin Oranges
1 qt. Strawberries, diced
1 C. Pecans
½ C. Gorgonzola or Bleu Cheese, crumbled
Dressing
1 C. Mayonnaise (or plain yogurt)
3 Tbsp. Honey
3 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. Celery Seed
1 tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Black Pepper
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl mix together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, honey, celery seed, salt and pepper and set aside.
2. In a large bowl toss together, cabbage, strawberries, grapes, oranges, pecans, cheese and dressing till well coated. Serve immediately and enjoy.
