GRAMMY-winning trumpeter Chris Botti has been one of the most popular instrumentalists in the world for nearly three decades. He’s collaborated with some of the biggest superstars on the planet, including Sting, Paul Simon, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler, Joni Mitchell, Steven Tyler, Andrea Bocelli, Herbie Hancock, Yo-Yo Ma, and others. He’s also topped the jazz charts with numerous albums, earned multiple Gold and Platinum records, performed with symphony orchestras and on prestigious stages from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House.
In short, Chris Botti really needs no introduction. Yet with his Blue Note Records debut, he’s offering one anyway. Vol.1 is in many ways a fresh start for the trumpeter. Having successfully crossed over from jazz renown to pop stardom, Botti’s first album in more than a decade finds him crossing back, with a small group project focused on acoustic jazz and classic standards.
“I turned 60 in 2022, at a time that seemed like a restart for so many things in the world,” Botti says. “I wanted to strip away all the orchestral arrangements and special guests and focus more on my playing, the playing of my band, and these jazz classics that we always love playing on stage.”
While Botti could boast of the major names with whom he’s shared stages, this project allows him to share his enthusiasm for the jazz greats past and present that excite him – his conversation is peppered with references to everyone from Miles Davis to Keith Jarrett to Pat Metheny to Brad Mehldau. He points to landmark albums like Davis’ Kind of Blue, John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman, or Metheny’s duo outing with Charlie Haden, Beyond the Missouri Sky as models for the kind of “lifestyle” music he set out to make – music that is exquisite on its own but can also set the scene for a coffee shop or hotel lounge, instantly generating a sophisticated mood.
Of course, Botti couldn’t have found a more ideal home for this artistic rebirth. Blue Note has been a standard-bearer of jazz throughout its storied history, and the trumpeter found a receptive partner in label president Don Was. “Anyone that’s lucky enough to say they’re on Blue Note Records should be pinching themselves,” Botti says. “It’s a fantastic honor. I had great runs on Verve and Columbia, so it’s amazing to now arrive on the most famous traditional jazz record label.”
Not that Vol. 1 is a complete about-face – longtime fans will immediately recognize Botti’s glowing tone and regal melodicism, as well as his flair for investing the narrative of a song with high drama and vibrant emotion. “There’s a cinematic quality that I like to hear in music, and that I’ve found that audiences really love,” he says. “The essence of that remains on this album. It’s paramount to me that there is incredible beauty and elegance to all of the performances and the way they’re recorded.”
Botti has assembled a stellar group of collaborators to achieve that blend of beauty and elegance for the album. The album was produced by the legendary David Foster, whose staggering list of credits includes three Beatles, Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton and countless others.
“David commands so much respect from the musicians that he didn’t have to say much, but he would navigate the session in a very subtle way,” says Botti of the producer, who also contributed the lush, moving piano intro to “Danny Boy” that sets the tone for the album.
Botti has enjoyed a long collaboration with pianist Taylor Eigsti, while bassist Zach Moses, keyboardist Julian Pollack, and saxophonist Chad Lefkowitz-Brown are all members of his regular touring band. Veteran drummer Vinnie Colaiuta rounds out the core band.
They’re joined by a number of excellent musicians, including Israeli guitarist Gilad Hekselman, whose atmospheric, cascading lines grace the Rodgers & Hart classic “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered”; classical violinist Joshua Bell, who brings a striking passion to Botti’s stark rendition of “My Funny Valentine”; Uruguayan-born guitarist Leonardo Amuedo, whose years in Brazil are reflected in his graceful soloing on Henry Mancini’s “Two for the Road” and the bossa nova feel he brings to “Time On My Hands”; pianist Esteban Castro, whose delicate restraint belies his youth on “Old Folks”; and singer-songwriter John Splithoff, who contributes and performs his romantic song “Paris.”
Above all, it’s Botti’s clarion, heart wrenching trumpet that seizes the spotlight throughout Vol. 1. From the way he sings the yearning melody of “Danny Boy” to the keening, airy melancholy of his Harmon mute playing on Miles Davis’ “Blue In Green”; the hushed tenderness he brings to Coldplay’s “Fix You” or his shimmering flurries on “Someday My Prince Will Come;” Botti leaves no doubt of his mastery or his ability to speak directly from the soul of the instrument.
The title of Vol. 1 implies a new beginning, but perhaps even more promising is the fact that it also hints at a Vol. 2 – and beyond. “I’m so looking forward to that possibility,” Botti concludes.

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart- thumping intensity.
Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert. GTLO also include a special “acoustic set” with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”
GTLO has amassed a strong national touring history, having performed at major club and PAC venues across the country. GTLO’s approach to their performance of this hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. “Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair. “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.”
A GTLO concert mimics the “light and shade” that are the embodiment of “The Mighty Zep.” Whether it’s the passion and fury with which they deliver the blues-soaked, groove- driven rock anthems, it’s their attention to detail and nuance that makes a Get The Led Out performance a truly awe-inspiring event!

LFC’s origin dates back to 1996 when a group of guys from Chicago’s original music scene decided to throw a disco party for their closest friends. When the disco band they wanted to hire was out of their budget, they decided… “What the heck, let’s do it ourselves!” They donned some disco attire, learned about 30 disco tunes and ROCKED that party! The following weeks, the offers for more and more shows poured in and little did they know, that evening was the beginning of a 20+ year career. Through the years as the disco craze died down, they traded the all-disco attire for some flashy, colorful clothing, added 2 female singers and expanded their repertoire to include music from 60’s to current and various musical genres. One thing that has always remained the same is their love for a “good show.” LFC members not only love to perform music, but to entertain… to provide an audience a high-energy, feel-good show to make them smile and forget about their troubles. With their signature show “bits,” charismatic personalities and the ability to switch styles and genres at the drop of a dime…. you can rest assured that LFC can entertain any audience!

Today, LA-based band Dogstar (guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse and bassist Keanu Reeves) announce their return with their 4th studio album All In Now, produced by Nick Launay (IDLES, Amyl and the Sniffers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), via their own label Dillon Street Records. “The album really sets up the energy at the heart of this album and the fun that we’ve always had playing together,” Robert Mailhouse shares. “We couldn’t fucking wait,” Keanu Reeves says about Dogstar’s collective desire to get right back to the studio. “Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, ‘let’s work hard and let’s GO.’” “It felt like our last album was our ticket into a party,” says Bret Domrose. “And now we’ve shown up to the party – the three of us.” All In Now is available to pre-order and pre-save on all formats here.
The band, who Rolling Stone hailed for their “sleek, post-grunge alt-rock” share the first cut off the album, the eponymous “All In Now.” “‘All In Now’ just whacks you in the head,” Mailhouse shares, “talk about a live song. Keanu came up with the title for that song too, and it sort of summed up where and who we are as a band today. It just feels true to us. We’re leaning in, and we are going to keep going.” “And this is a good song to lean into” Reeves adds, “so, we really are all in now.” Listen to “All In Now” here and watch the music video, directed by Carlos Garcia Medina, here.
Their 25-Date “All In Now” North American tour is set to kick off on May 28th in cities including Austin, Nashville, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City and more (full dates below). Tickets and VIP for these dates will go on sale here Friday, Mar 13 at 10am local time (with the exception of the 8/15 Mashantucket date which will go on-sale Friday, March 20 at 10am ET). Previously announced European tour and festival dates are on sale now.
Dogstar is a brotherhood – a group of three men with multiple talents who combined, have created a sound and energy that is greater than the sum of its parts. After being dormant for 20 years, the California-based trio reunited in 2023 to release their celebrated album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, which SPIN called “honest and inspired,” and “fully reflects these three guys, the stories of their lives over the last three decades, and exactly who they are.” Their new album pushes them further, with a unified and self-assured album forged by their time on the road, touring both in America and around the world, playing everywhere from sweaty rock clubs to giant festivals. Mailhouse remembers, “Just seeing the smiles on people’s faces and feeling their joy on a musical level. Playing some outdoor festivals, and when it starts to rain, seeing nobody leaving.” “Those festivals in Europe really made a big, positive impact on us,” adds Reeves. “We loved playing to people in the afternoon who didn’t come to see Dogstar but connected with what we were doing. And that connected with us.” Bret continued, “You never know if people are going to show up, are they going to stay, are they going to listen? It meant a lot that people not only stayed but got into songs that they mostly had never heard before.”
Dogstar credits legendary producer Nick Launay — whose has worked with artists from Midnight Oil to Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Amyl and the Sniffers — with the fully realized sound and the energy of All In Now. As Domrose recalls, “Our management put Nick’s name on a list of possible producers.” “And we all thought it was a typo. Like this guy will never work with us,” Mailhouse adds with a laugh. For Nick Launay, “Working with Bret, Robert, and Keanu was extremely fun because it brought things back to why people form bands and make music. These three friends wrote some killer songs and wanted to push some boundaries in the studio. It’s all passion and no BS. For me, it’s always a treat working with such capable musicians because the sky’s the limit when experimenting, and that’s exactly what we did, while smiling all the way.”
All In Now reflects their commitment to put their all into the project, both on-stage and in the studio. As Nick Launay puts it, “I love how Bret’s voice and melodies soar above the solid grooves on this album. There’s something very honest about it, which I guess is why it’s called All in Now. I think this friendly trio is sounding HUGE and will turn some heads this time around.”

A self-described “country boy” born in South Georgia and raised in Alabama, Joe often accompanied his traveling evangelist father on the road. Growing up, he also learned to play the guitar and piano while developing his vocal skills in church. Joe’s dream of attending Dillard University in New Orleans to study business and law took a backseat when he opted to relocate to New Jersey in pursuit of a musical career. After notching his first R&B top 10 for Mercury Records in 1993 with “I’m in Luv,” Joe began hitting his stride in the mid-‘90s with the R&B and pop crossover smash “All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do).”
An ensuing string of hits—“All That I Am,” “I Wanna Know,” “No One Comes Close”—sealed Joe’s reputation in the 2000s as an R&B superstar. And the seven-time Grammy nominee’s memorable collaborations with Mariah Carey (“Thank God I Found You”), Big Pun (“Still Not a Player”) and G-Unit (“Wanna Get to Know You”) further underscored his musical versatility.
“I’d love to be remembered in the same league as a Marvin Gaye,” says Joe. “And I’ve got time. That’s the beauty of R&B. It’s a classy genre — and class always lasts.”

Thirty years after a Fender Strat-wielding teenager from Shreveport, Louisiana bought the blues back into the mainstream, the platinum-selling, six-time GRAMMY-nominated blues-rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd returns to the album that started it all with a newly recorded 30th anniversary edition of Ledbetter Heights, arriving May 8th. Marking the announcement, Shepherd has also released the lead single “Deja Voodoo,” available now on all streaming platforms.
At a time when grunge dominated the cultural conversation, Shepherd emerged unapologetically rooted in a genre often pushed to the margins. With fiery fretwork, pop-rock hooks, and a deep reverence for the blues, his arrival cut through the noise and connected with a new generation of listeners. Signed by legendary executive Irving Azoff at just 16, Shepherd recorded the album while still in high school, splitting his time between classes in Louisiana and sessions in Memphis.
Now, three decades later, Shepherd is as vital as ever. No longer the teenage prodigy, he has grown into a master, touring, recording, collaborating, and evolving. The new release revisits Ledbetter Heights from the vantage point of a career shaped by decades of experience, returning to the album that first put him on the map and established him as a torchbearer for the blues.
“This is the album that put me on the map, and I still enjoy listening to it because my goal has always been to make music I want to listen to,” Shepherd says. “Unfiltered and straight from the heart.”
A key presence on the project is longtime collaborator and legendary drummer Chris “Whipper” Layton, a founding member of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, who has played alongside Shepherd since the original Ledbetter Heights sessions. The album was co-produced with Jerry Harrison, whose history with Shepherd spans multiple records including Trouble Is… and its 25th anniversary re-recording. Guitar fans will recognize another full-circle detail, as Shepherd returned to his original 1995 rig for the sessions, grounding the recordings in the same sonic palette that first introduced him to audiences.
When Ledbetter Heights was first released, it quickly became a breakout success, going Gold within months and earning Platinum certification by early 1996. The album also spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, Guitar World ranked Shepherd the No. 3 blues artist in the world, behind only B.B. King and Eric Clapton. He wrote or co-wrote the majority of the material, an uncommon accomplishment for a teenage blues guitarist at the time, and named the album in honor of a historic neighborhood in his hometown that pays tribute to blues legend Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter.
In the years since, Shepherd has built one of the most enduring careers in modern blues-rock. His sophomore album, Trouble Is…, marked another major breakthrough, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and spending 20 consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Blues Chart. Across his career, Shepherd has earned six GRAMMY nominations, multiple Platinum and Gold records, and a reputation as one of the genre’s most consistent touring artists, sharing stages with Bob Dylan, B.B King, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Shepherd’s longevity is rare for an artist who broke through so young in a genre like the blues. That staying power stems from a refusal to stand still. A restless creative, he has always kept one foot firmly planted in blues tradition while the other explores the broader rock landscape. His 12-album catalog, along with projects like The Rides alongside Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg, reflects a wide-ranging artistic continuum that bridges classic and contemporary sounds. Recent work, Young Fashioned Ways, from his Grammy nominated collaboration with blues legend Bobby Rush to his genre-bending double album Dirt on My Diamonds Vol. 1 & 2, underscores an artist who continues to push his sound forward.
That same instinct is embedded in the re-recording. The new version revisits the original 12-song collection with a deeper sense of nuance and intention. While the spirit and energy of the original recordings remain intact, the updated version reflects a more deliberate approach to arrangement and a more expressive guitar voice. The fire that defined the original sessions still burns, now shaped by years of touring, recording, and collaboration.
“Before I could identify with the lyrics, I always could identify with the feeling of the blues,” Shepherd says. “When you pour your heart out, everyone can feel that.”
The release of the album arrives alongside Shepherd’s ongoing Ledbetter Heights 30th Anniversary Tour, where he and his band are performing the full album live for the first time, along with a second set spanning his three-decade career. The tour has brought the celebration to theaters and performing arts centers across the country, with select dates featuring special guests Jimmie Vaughan and Eric Johnson, and continues to build momentum as it expands into new markets.
