100th Birthday Bash

My Papa, or Grandpa to some, or Bill to most, celebrated his 100^th Birthday in January 2025! In 100 years of life, he has done so much: served in the Navy, built a business, created a family, and loved deeply. He loved to spend time with my grandma doing whatever she wanted to do – so off to the casino they would go. Four Winds Casino New Buffalo was one of their favorite spots because it has delicious food and a gaming floor they had good luck on.

When thinking about his 100^th birthday party, we wanted to find somewhere he loved to go and that offered a good variety for all those attending. We reached out to the Four Winds Sales Team and Frances helped us to learn about the numerous options available. We knew it would be the perfect fit and the best way to celebrate a big birthday!

Frances and the Four Winds Sales Team were great to work with, and we felt they were just as excited to plan the 100^th birthday as we were. Our group decided to host the party in the mezzanine of Kankakee Grille New Buffalo. The space was casual but felt intimate and fun. With an elevator, stairs, and bathrooms, it was easily accessible for all our guests. We had guests coming from all over the country and internationally, so it was an added benefit to have the Four Winds Hotel right there. Frances was very helpful in answering all our questions on decorations, set up, and the menu. We were able to choose a buffet option that gave us entrees, sides, and desserts for all our dietary needs and tastebud wishes. The team was so kind to assist us in setting up photos and special 100-year décor to make the space perfect.

My Papa was excited to see the party at Kankakee Grille New Buffalo full of friends and family. We all loved the Americana Buffet specially the desserts! Papa smiled from ear to ear with a beer in hand and his favorite chocolate cake (even if it did take a few tries to blow out the candles). He was showered with presents and kind words. The team at Kankakee Grille was in tune to all our needs and were so caring. Papa asked if he should know them as part of the family. After dinner the group was off to the casino floor where we met with even more wonderful Four Winds staff members wishing Bill a happy birthday and good luck. Papa’s birthday wish was for a good time and a $100 win, and he got both!

Having had 99 other birthdays, it was going to be difficult to measure up, but Four Winds did not disappoint! We were able to achieve it all. On top of the seamless planning, the Four Winds staff went above and beyond to ensure our group had a wonderful time.

My family and I recommend planning any special event at Four Winds Casino. They have customizable spaces at Four Winds Casino New Buffalo’s Silver Creek Event Center and at Four Winds Casino South Bend’s Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center or check out their dining venues for a more classic option. The sales team is the best.
