The Marshall Tucker Band and Jefferson Starship Fri, Jul 5 | 8pm Eastern
Silver Creek Event Center
The Marshall Tucker Band and Jefferson Starship

The two bands have a history dating back to the 1970s, and MTB lead singer Doug Gray couldn’t be more thrilled about reuniting with Jefferson Starship.

“We have a storied history with Jefferson Starship,” explains Gray.  “We toured together many years ago and the timing feels right for us to reunite.  We’re on Cloud 9!”

“We are really looking forward to touring with our buddies, The Marshall Tucker Band,” says Donny Baldwin of Jefferson Starship.  “We toured back in the day, and it will be a great night of music from two iconic bands.  See you there!”

The Marshall Tucker Band came together as a young, hungry, and quite driven six-piece outfit in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1972, having duly baptized themselves with the name of a blind piano tuner after they found it inscribed on a key to their original rehearsal space — and they’ve been in tune with tearing it up on live stages both big and small all across the globe ever since.  Plus, the band’s mighty music catalog, consisting of more than 20 studio albums and a score of live releases, has racked up multi-platinum album sales many times over.

A typically rich MTB setlist is bubbling over with a healthy dose of hits like the heartfelt singalong “Heard It in a Love Song,” the insistent pleading of “Can’t You See” (the signature tune of MTB’s late co-founding lead guitarist and then-principal songwriter Toy Caldwell), the testifying “Fire on the Mountain,” the wanderlust gallop of “Long Hard Ride,” and the explosive testimony of “Ramblin,’” to name but a few.

MTB features Doug Gray on lead vocals; B.B. Borden on drums; Ryan Ware on bass and vocals; Marcus James Henderson on keyboards, saxophone, flute, and vocals; Chris Hicks on guitar and vocals; and Rick Willis on guitar and vocals.

When founding member Paul Kantner formed Jefferson Starship in the ’70s, he envisioned the band as a cast of musical adventurers, contributing to his epic concept albums and eventual deep catalog of rock classics.  When the current lineup of the band came together alongside Kantner as a unit in 2012, with many members joining years before, he couldn’t have imagined that the band would become the road-conquering heroes they’ve been in the last few years.

Jefferson Starship’s five members describe themselves as both a “family” and a “gang,” and that comes across in talking to them, and in their robust live performances, which have taken them to all 50 U.S. states., five continents, and too many countries to list here, drawing from a massive setlist of hit after hit.

In addition to original member David Freiberg, the band includes drummer Donny Baldwin (whose Jefferson Starship roots go back to 1982), keyboardist Chris Smith (who joined in 1998), guitarist Jude Gold (who joined in 2012), and singer and guitarist Cathy Richardson who joined in 2008, after Kantner saw her tour with Big Brother and the Holding Company.

As Jefferson Starship approaches their 50th anniversary, the group’s members look to the future with the word Kantner, who unfortunately died in 2016, used to say to them all the time: “Onward.”

“To me that exploration — that Paul Kantner thing of just getting on a rocket ship and firing it as hard as it will go, and taking off and exploring the cosmos and the music, and everything in between — is really the spirit of Jefferson Starship, and that’s very much alive in the band today,” Gold says.  “And that comes straight from Paul. And always has.”

Dokken and Jack Russell’s Great White Fri, Jul 12 | 9pm Eastern
Silver Creek Event Center
Dokken and Jack Russell’s Great White

Dokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s.  1983’s “Breaking the Chains” with its catchy title track, set the stage for Dokken becoming the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of Melodic Hard Rock for the following years.  Such classic albums as “Tooth and Nail,” “Under Lock and Key,” and “Back for the Attack” all became Multi-Platinum selling smashes and the live “Beast from the East” went gold in Europe and Japan.  Songs like “Alone Again,” “Just Got Lucky,” “Into the Fire,” “In My Dreams,” “Unchain the Night,” “Dream Warriors,” “Burning like a Flame,” and “Heaven Sent” are still nowadays regarded among the genre’s finest.  Dokken has survived and kept their loyal fans in a time when people’s tastes change as fast as Britney Spears’ wardrobe, they have been embraced by a whole new generation of rock fans.  Dokken features Don Dokken (vocals), Mick Brown (drums), Jon Levin (guitar), and Chris McCarvill (bass).  More information on Dokken can be found at www.dokken.net.

Rather than look backwards and merely attempt to relive the multi-platinum hard rock entity’s storied origins, Jack Russell set his sights on the future.  In December 2011, Jack Russell’s Great White first bared its teeth.  Guitarist Robby Lochner has been with Jack since its inception, they soon welcomed back longtime bassist and friend Tony Cardenas Montana—this time as a guitar player and keyboardist.  The group also features Dan McNay on bass and Ken Mary on drums.  In 2017, Jack Russell’s Great White released their first album titled He Saw It Comin’.  In August 2021, Jack Russell’s Great White released a sequel to Great White’s 1998 tribute album to Led Zeppelin titled Great Zeppelin II: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin.  On July 13, 2021, a cover of “Whole Lotta Love” was released.  In December of 2022, Jack launched his JackRussellsGreatWhiteMerch.com and Road Starz of Rock internet podcast.  More information on Jack Russell’s Great White can be found at www.jackrussellsgreatwhiteband.com.

LFC’s origin dates back to 1996 when a group of guys from Chicago’s original music scene decided to throw a disco party for their closest friends. When the disco band they wanted to hire was out of their budget, they decided… “What the heck, let’s do it ourselves!” They donned some disco attire, learned about 30 disco tunes and ROCKED that party! The following weeks, the offers for more and more shows poured in and little did they know, that evening was the beginning of a 20+ year career. Through the years as the disco craze died down, they traded the all-disco attire for some flashy, colorful clothing, added 2 female singers and expanded their repertoire to include music from 60’s to current and various musical genres. One thing that has always remained the same is their love for a “good show.” LFC members not only love to perform music, but to entertain… to provide an audience a high-energy, feel-good show to make them smile and forget about their troubles. With their signature show “bits,” charismatic personalities and the ability to switch styles and genres at the drop of a dime…. you can rest assured that LFC can entertain any audience!

Happy Together Tour Sat, Aug 17 | 9pm Eastern
Silver Creek Event Center
Happy Together Tour

2024 will mark the 15th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, The “Happy Together” Tour.  The touring sensation that has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes.  The Tour is once again joined by The Turtles, who also act as musical hosts for the evening.  The performance at Four Winds New Buffalo will include The Turtles, Jay & The Americans, The Association, Badfinger featuring Joey Molland, and The Vogues.

The Turtles are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound.  With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me,” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late 60s.  Ron Dante joins the line-up to delight with his own mega-hits, “Sugar,” and “Tracy.”

Few groups have reached the musical heights as Jay & The Americans with hits from 1962 to 1971.  This group charted an amazing five Billboard Top 10 hits and 12 Top-20 hit records.  Their breakout hit was “She Cried.”  Their next chart hit was “Only In America,” which they followed with hit songs “Come A Little Bit Closer,” “Cara Mia,” and “This Magic Moment,” which hit the Billboard Top 10.

One of the most successful bands to come out of the 60s, The Association has sold millions of records.  Their album, The Association’s Greatest Hits (Warner Brothers) is now double platinum and continues to be one of the longest best-selling albums in the history of the company.  A few of their hits include “Cherish,” “Windy,” “Never My Love,” and “Along Comes Mary.”

From their legendary lineup, Joey Molland continues the unforgettable legacy of Badfinger.  One of the original signings to the Beatles’ Apple Records label.  They had their first hit single with a Paul McCartney penned song, “Come and Get It,” which went to #7 in the U.S. charts.  Badfinger followed this with their own compositions “No Matter What,” “Day After Day (produced by George Harrison),” and “Baby Blue,” which went to #8, #4 and #14 respectively.

The Vogues are also known for their harmony-driven pop sound.  The Vogues had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as “Five O’Clock World,” “My Special Angel,” and “Turn Around Look At Me.”

Recently, Brad became the first stand-up comedian to headline a Cirque de Soleil show in their 30-year history, when he agreed to launch—and do a three month run of—their newest show Mad Apple, at the magnificent 1200 seat New York New York Theater in Las Vegas.  The show became an immediate smash hit to rave revues, singling out Williams for his incredible ability to captivate his audiences with his extraordinary performances.

In addition to stand-up and acting, Williams co-created and co-hosted one of the most successful podcasts in the world, with friend and fellow comic Adam Ray, entitled About Last Night, which was always a mainstay on the iTunes charts during their five-year run.  Additionally, he is also a regular contributor with a series of incredibly funny appearances on several national radio and podcast platforms, including KROQ’s Kevin and Bean Show and The Adam Carolla Show.

Williams’ humorous and inspiring observations on disability, relationships, sex, and race consistently win over audiences; proving anyone can overcome their shortcomings.  His high energy live performances frequently produce standing ovations from audience members; which prompted the late Robin Williams to call him “Prozac with a head.”

A.J. Croce Presents Croce Plays Croce

The Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary show features a legendary band (including drummer Gary Mallaber, bassist David Barard, guitar/violin James Pennebaker) and a moving multi-media presentation accompanying Jim’s songs (which on the previous tour included memorable hits, “Operator (That’s Not the Way It Feels)”, “Time in a Bottle,” and others).  It was fan-demand for more, and the camaraderie that A.J. felt with the audience, the players, and the connection to his father’s timeless music that inspired A.J. to embark on the 50th Anniversary tour for 2024.  “The audience reaction has been so great,” says A.J.  “The shows we did last year were not only met with a huge response, but I learned so much about what works and what resonates, we knew we had to keep going.”

During last year’s raved-about performances, A.J. shared intimate aspects of his dad’s career.  He also drew praise for his own style and musicianship (he’s known for one of the most unique keyboard styles in music) as well as his sensitive insight into Jim Croce’s enduring musical canon.  While Jim Croce’s indelible music catalog still resonates on classic radio, streaming platforms, and more recently on hit films and TV shows like Django Unchained and Stranger Things, it is A.J.s unique showmanship that has helped enliven Jim’s amazing legacy.  One reviewer aptly noted: ‘…A.J. Croce invites the sold-out crowds into his father’s worldview and work mindset, culminating in the playing of Jim Croce tunes…making for an intimate experience riddled with wryness and humor…’

The two Jim Croce albums that turned 50 in 2023 are considered among Croce’s finest, with Life and Times, originally released in January of 1973, delivering the game-changing hit “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown,” which became the Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame inductee’s calling card, hitting #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and ranked as the #2 song for all of 1973I Got A Name was his final studio album (and the first posthumous release by Jim), with the title song being released the day after his tragic plane crash which occurred on September 20, 1973.  The album also featured the smash hit ballad “I’ll Have to Say I Love You In A Song,” and “Workin’ At The Car Wash Blues,” among others.

Fans and critics who attended last year’s 50th Anniversary Celebration shows are thrilled that A.J. is readying another affectionate interpretation of his father’s enduring legacy.  The shows have renewed interest in Jim Croce and garnered praise for A.J: “I think they come as a Jim Croce fan but also leave as fans of mine. That’s something that has also made this whole experience really amazing.”

A Bronx Tale: One Man Show Starring Chazz Palminteri

Bronx-born and raised Chazz Palminteri wrote A Bronx Tale in 1988.  The powerful one-man stage play depicted his bruising childhood which included witnessing a gangland killing when he was nine years old. Palminteri played eighteen characters and brought them all to life in his autobiographical play.  His friends, enemies and family came alive on stage.  Hollywood Studios went crazy after seeing it and offered him millions of dollars to turn it into a major movie.  There was one catch – they wanted to put a star in the role of Sonny and someone else to write the screenplay.  With two hundred dollars in the bank, Palminteri said no.  He would hold out and wait.  He wanted to play Sonny and write the screenplay.  Then, one night, Palminteri walked into his dressing room and sitting there was Robert De Niro who just saw the show.  Robert DeNiro gave Palminteri the chance he was waiting for, and as they say in Hollywood, the rest is history.

Palminteri wrote the screenplay for the film A Bronx Tale and then most recently wrote the book for the Broadway Musical.  It was the first time in history that the same actor wrote the one-man play, the movie script, and the Broadway Musical and starred in each one.

In the past thirty-five years, Chazz has appeared in over sixty films, including, The Usual Suspects, Analyze This, Mulholland Falls, Jade, Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Legend, and Bullets over Broadway, which he was nominated for an Academy Award.  He has starred in over twenty television series and has won three Emmy Awards.  Chazz has most recently appeared in the shows Modern Family, Godfather of Harlem, Law & Order and Gravesend.

Air Supply Sat, Oct 5 | 9pm Eastern

Air Supply

Graham Russell & Russell Hitchcock met on May 12, 1975, the first day of rehearsals for “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Sydney, Australia; they became instant friends with their common love for The Beatles and, of course, singing.

After the shows’ performances at 10:30, they would play pizza parlors, coffee bars and night clubs with just one guitar and two voices.  They quickly gained a reputation for great harmonies and for original songs that Graham was constantly writing.  They made a demo on a cassette of two songs, “Love and Other Bruises” and “If You Knew Me” and took it to every record company in Sydney.  Everyone turned it down but one — CBS Records — who admired their unique style.

They made a single in one afternoon and it shot to number one on the national charts.  Air Supply was born! That same year, they opened for Rod Stewart across Australia and then throughout the U.S. and Canada playing all of the famous huge venues before Rod would take the stage.  They found new fans but did not break the U.S. market.

Back in Australia they had to start again and made a record called Life Support.  On this record were some treasures of songs, including “Lost in Love” which went Top 10 in Australia and somehow found its way to music industry executive Clive Davis in New York.

Clive immediately signed Air Supply to Arista Records and in 1980, “Lost in Love” became the fastest selling single in the world, leaping to the top of all of the charts.  Now Air Supply was on their way.  The second single was “All Out of Love,” and that went up the charts even quicker.

Seven top-five singles later, Air Supply at that time had equaled The Beatles’ run of consecutive top five singles. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold in excess of 20 million copies.  “Lost in Love” was named Song of the Year in 1980, and, with the other singles, sold more than 10 million copies.

The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell’s simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply.

However, it is the live shows that always hold audiences captive around the world.  They were the first Western group to tour China, Taiwan, and countless other countries that before would not allow pop music across their borders.  In 1983 they recorded “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All” by Jim Steinman which solidified the group as a permanent force in modern music.  This song was released on The Greatest Hits album which soared past 7 million copies.

“Lost in Love”, “All Out of Love”, “The One That You Love”, “Sweet Dreams,” and “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All” have each achieved multi-million plays on the radio.

In 1986 the group’s music was still playing endlessly on radio.  That same year, Graham was married to actress Jodi Varble from Rochelle, Illinois, who also was his leading lady in the video for “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All.”

Air Supply began to tour with lavish productions in places that no one had been before. In South America and Asia they became a part of everyone’s life. In 1988, Air Supply was asked to participate in Australia’s bicentennial celebration and to play for HRH Prince Charles and HRH Princess Diana, where they learned both were already ardent fans. This engagement would be one of their most treasured moments in their career.

In 1989, they recorded “The Earth Is” album selling over a million copies outside of the U.S.  This album was followed by “The Vanishing Race” CD and, with the singles “Goodbye” and “It’s Never Too Late,” again saw multi-platinum success.  The following albums, “News from Nowhere”, “Yours Truly”, and “Across the Concrete Sky” all gave their second greatest hits album multi-platinum status as they traveled the world each and every year.

In 2000, a new production company was founded to be devoted to Air Supply’s entire future product, called A Nice Pear, which gave them complete creative control.

In July 2005, their live DVD, “It Was 30 Years Ago Today” celebrated 30 years of success around the world and in that same month, Air Supply smashed attendance records when, in Cuba, at one show they played to 175,000 people. Also 2005 saw the release of “The Singer and the Song”, an acoustic album of many of their big hits which received critical acclaim.

In May 2010, the long-awaited album, “Mumbo Jumbo” – also the duo’s first studio recording in eight years – was released.  Recorded at Graham Russell’s home studio near Park City, Utah and at Odds On’s state of the art facilities in Las Vegas with top session musicians and an orchestra, “Mumbo Jumbo” was produced by Russell and engineered by Odds On’s Sean O’Dwyer, whose credits include Pink Floyd, Randy Newman and Blink-182. Among the 14-tracks, released by Odds On’s label, was the first single “Dance With Me,” which earned Air Supply a prominent feature article in Billboard Magazine titled “Still Supplying The Hits After 35 Years.”

Just weeks after composer and vocalist Graham Russell was honored with a BMI Million-Air Certificate recognizing 3 million performances of the duo’s hit “All Out Of Love,” Air Supply’s new song was the #1 most added track on the FMQB AC40 Chart, and also one of the most added on the R&R (Radio and Records) AC Chart and the Mediabase AC chart.

In 2013, the duo was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association’s Hall of Fame.  Air Supply celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2015 and continue to delight audiences all over the world.

Get the Led Out

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, GTLO have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage.  The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before.  Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed.  When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage.  No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity.

Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert.  GTLO also include a special “acoustic set” with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”

GTLO has amassed a strong national touring history, having performed at major club and PAC venues across the country.  GTLO’s approach to their performance of this hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. “Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair.  “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time.  As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.”

A GTLO concert mimics the “light and shade” that are the embodiment of “The Mighty Zep.”  Whether it’s the passion and fury with which they deliver the blues-soaked, groove-driven rock anthems, it’s their attention to detail and nuance that makes a Get The Led Out performance a truly awe-inspiring event!

Get Let Out features the following band members:

  • Paul Sinclair – Lead Vocals, Harmonica
  • Paul Hammond – Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Mandolin, Theremin
  • Tommy Zamp – Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Vocals
  • Eddie Kurek – Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals, Percussion
  • Derek Smith – Drums, Percussion
  • Seth Chrisman – Bass, Vocals
