Midwest Dementia Summit 2024: Innovations In Care

With Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center’s proximity to the bypass and offering onsite dining, entertainment, and accommodations within the beautiful Four Winds Casino South Bend, The Midwest Dementia Summit decided it would be the perfect place to host their 2024 event.

This two-day summit offered 300 caregivers from throughout the Midwest to gather and learn about innovations in the care of dementia patients. Event Space

Couldn’t have been more perfect. [Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center] has a great flow and made it easy to spread a large event out.

Our overseas guest said it was the nicest hotel he has ever stayed in here in the USA!

Food & Beverage

We had a continental breakfast, as well as morning and afternoon snacks. Day one featured a delicious meal of lasagna and on day two we enjoyed pork loin and potato. All the meals were top quality and perfect portions. We had many compliments. Our special diets were all catered to and those guests loved their meals as well.

Technology

The summit featured speakers and performers throughout the two days. Four Winds’ Tech Team Member Kelly was amazing – communicating with our performers directly to ensure they had everything needed. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. It was above and beyond!

Richelle – Really? – The absolute best! Richelle was always available for whatever anxiety riddled question or concern we had. I mean she got the horse approved! How do you top that? She didn’t even look at us like we were crazy! We would work with her again in a heartbeat. The entire [Four Winds] staff was courteous and helpful the entire time! Shout out to Jackie’s servers who rescued our diabetic lady in crisis with emergency peanut butter!

I just want to share that the customer service of every single person we encountered was superior. Even when I entered the staff area to ask a question “behind the doors” everyone was just as nice as could be. You sometimes feel like you can’t expect that level of care and service anymore, but you can at Four Winds South bend! We were blown away!

It was fun having the Midwest Dementia Summit at Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center and great to hear from Angel at Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services that their “entire experience from start to finish was memorable. It was a year of planning and it couldn’t have gone any better.”
