Michelle recently got married at Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center at Four Winds South Bend and she shared her experience with the planning and execution of her big day.

Our wedding was everything I dreamed and thought of and more, like it was so wow!  Thank you for being a part of starting our life together.  The staff is so great.  Everyone I met, passed or encountered were happy and helpful and have great attitudes!  It was just wonderful and everyone loved it.  Almost everyone there had not been to the hotel and casino before, and they were just wowed.

Can the venue handle all my needs and wants?

We were looking for a place that was easy for all our family to travel to. Four Winds South Bend has an airport nearby and is located near a main expressway.  Meeting Richelle Gingerich sealed it for us.  She met with us, showed us around, gave us options and great ideas, and just really made us feel like we wanted her and this place. We knew she had the skills, attitude and ideas for us to achieve our wedding. The space was gorgeous, the ballroom was what we wanted, and it didn’t really need any decorations. Ribbon Town was able to be split, allowing us to have separate spaces for our ceremony and reception and the hallway was spacious for hosting cocktail hour. The bathrooms are right there, which was so helpful for the guests, so they didn’t have to walk far or leave the celebration to get to the bathroom. A bonus was a really unique outdoor area accessible from the hallway and cocktail hour.

Did I select the right menu?

We had a rehearsal dinner the night before and did create your own pasta stations.  Our guests were wowed, the three chefs were friendly, cooked efficiently and were personable.  The food was great.  We also had a cocktail hour after the ceremony, and then the reception.  Cocktail hour was well received and the buffet dinner we did for the reception, allowed everyone to find something to eat with all of the options. All of the desserts plus the wedding cake were on a beautiful display.  My guests said they didn’t go hungry, they really enjoyed the food, and the presentation was great.

Will Everything Run Smooth?

The whole weekend was memorable, especially when Richelle came out to greet us. She is such a joy to work with and yes, I just can’t say enough about her.  First time for me getting married and just the ideas, suggestions, her creativity, planning, and staying up on things helped keep everything smooth.  Richelle was always there to give a smile, help, and a yes, make sure your wedding was just that, your wedding.  I mean you really can tell she is truly a pro at this, she was professional, stayed in great communication and always positive. She’s amazing! Richelle stayed cool, calm and collected the whole time – even with some of my challenging family members.
