Originating from Flint, Michigan in 1969, this top selling American rock group of the 70âs is âCOMINâ TO YOUR TOWN TO HELP YOU PARTY IT DOWNâ. Grand Funk Railroad is extremely excited hit the road once again in 2025. After playing to millions of fans on the bandâs tours from 1996 to 2024, Grand Funkâs AMERICAN BAND TOUR will continue to reach both new and long-time fans.
Known as âThe American Bandâ, the high-energy five-piece group will play shows all over the USA this year. Grand Funk Railroad includes original founding members Don Brewer (vocals and drums, writer and singer of the multi-million selling hit, Weâre an American Band) and bassist Mel Schacher, âThe God of Thunderâ. Joining Don and Mel are true âAll Starsâ. Singer Max Carl is a rock veteran from 38 Special. Max penned and sang 38âs biggest hit âSecond Chanceâ and was co-founder of Californiaâs legendary Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. Don refers to Max as âthe best blue-eyed soul singer on the planet. Lead guitarist Mark Chatfield is best known as a founding member of Ohio Rock Legends âTHE GODZâ as well as a founding member of Ohio Rock Greats âROSIEâ. Mark also played guitar with Bob Segerâs Silver Bullet Band touring with the Silver Bullet Band over three decades. Keyboardist Tim Cashion has a masterâs degree in music from the University of Miami. Affectionately called âDr. Timâ, his credits include stints with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and English soul man Robert Palmer.
Grand Funk laid the groundwork for such bands as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen and Bon Jovi with its signature hard driving sound, soulful vocals, muscular instrumentation and forceful pop melodies. The fact that Grand Funkâs legacy still reigns over the Classic Rock landscape 55 years after its 1969 birth in Flint, Michigan is a testament to the groupâs influence and staying power. Mega-hits Weâre an American Band, Iâm Your Captain/Closer to Home, The Locomotion, and Some Kind of Wonderful still receive continuous airplay on Classic Rock radio. Weâre an American Band has received notoriety in recent years being used in movie soundtracks and in television/radio advertising. The huge hit was featured in a General Motors national TV ad campaign and in Disneyâs animated feature film The Country Bears. Weâre an American Band was featured in the Cuba Gooding Jr. film RADIO, and in the swashbuckler SAHARA starring Matthew McConaughey.
Internationally acclaimed Grand Funk has toured the world, selling out in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and South America. A 1971 performance at New Yorkâs Shea Stadium sold out faster than the Beatles. The groupâs widespread appeal is also evident in its prestigious recording achievements. Over their career, Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles, 8 Top 40 hits and two Number One singles (Weâre an American Band and Locomotion, both selling more than one million each). The group has now accumulated 7 gold and 10 platinum certifications with record sales in excess of 25 million copies sold worldwide. Most recently, Weâre An American Band and Some Kind of Wonderful each went platinum in 2022.
The multi-talented band carries on the tradition of Grand Funk hits and creates a new chapter in the legacy of Grand Funk Railroad. GFR drew 25,000 people to their Molson Canal Series Concert outside Buffalo 20,000 in Albany, New York, and 20,000 fans to downtown Orlando, Florida. The groupâs 2023 WEâRE AN AMERICAN BAND TOUR was a huge success and now, with the groupâs AMERICAN BAND TOUR 2025, seasoned Grand Funk lovers and contemporary rock fans discovering the group for the first time will e able to celebrate with GRAND FUNK RAILROAD!

Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. Â It was originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in other Australian acts. Â Their new focus was to get airplay on American radio, and they achieved that goal with good songwriting, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies. Â They immediately claimed their place as one of the great vocal bands of the â70s and â80s.
Between 1976 and 1983, chart success in America included the following singles: Itâs a Long Way There, Help Is on Its Way, Happy Anniversary, Reminiscing, Lady, Cool Change, Lonesome Loser, The Night Owls, Take It Easy On Me, Man On Your Mind, We Two, and The Other Guy.
Worldwide album and CD sales now top 30 million.  LRB also set a Billboard record in 1982 for having Top 10 US hits for 6 consecutive yearsâŚthe first band ever to achieve that mark.  According to BMI, Reminiscing has garnered rare status with over 5 million airplays on America radioâŚand Lady is close behind with over 4 million airplays.  LRB was rightfully inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards of 2004.  In 2015 the band received the award for Musical Entertainer of the Year from the G2E groupâŚan international panel of judges that ranks casino entertainment.
Current band membership is anchored by bassist and lead singer Wayne NelsonâŚa 44-year LRB veteran.  He is joined on stage by keyboardist and Dove Award winning producer Chris Marion, drummer Ryan Ricks, and guitarists Colin Whinnery and Bruce Wallace.  These great musicians have writing, touring, and recording credits that include legendary artists like Jim Messina, Kenny Loggins, Glenn Frey, Christopher Cross, Warren Zevon, America, Lonestar, Loretta Lynn, Wynona Judd, Sir George Martin, David Gates, Garth Brooks, Oak Ridge Boys, Steven Curtis Chapman, Randy Houser, Joe Diffie, Kim Carnes, Shane McAnally, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, and Gretchen Wilson.  All five are accomplished singers and deliver the signature LRB lead vocals and harmonies at every show. This lineup brings fresh energy and arrangements to the classic hits, making new memories for the audience out of each live performance. Itâs always fun to watch as people are swept up by the showâs vitality and the volume of hits from LRBâs history. Youâll see plenty of people mouthing the wordsâŚâI love this songâŚI forgot it was one of Little River Bandâs hits!â When you pair that with dynamic new songs being created by the band, audiences feel the power of an act with a rich history and a fantastic corps of songwriters making new music.
Eagles founding member, the late Glenn Frey, joined with LRB as a guest artist in 1988 for 2 Australian toursâŚculminating with a live TV performance at Expo â88.  He spoke from the heart at that last show when he dubbed Little River Band âthe best singing band in the worldâ in front of 125,000 concert goers.  The current lineup of LRB takes that accolade to heart each and every time they perform.

After more than four decades, 38 SPECIAL continues to bring their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year. At each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band’s performance.
Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse.
With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, âHold On Loosely,â âRockinâ Into the Night,â âCaught Up in You,â âFantasy Girl,â âIf Iâd Been the One,â âBack Where You Belong,â âChain Lightninâ,â âSecond Chance,â and more â timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen.
Guitarist/vocalist DON BARNES says it’s all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows. âWe never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft or complacent over the years.  We’re a team, and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we donât slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.â
Completing the team is bassist BARRY DUNAWAY, drummer GARY MOFFATT and keyboardist/vocalist BOBBY CAPPS. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist JERRY RIGGS.
For 38 Special onstage, it is a celebration of camaraderie and brotherhood, a precision unit bringing the dedication and honesty to a long history of classic songs, as well as surprisingly fresh new material.
Since 1976, the band has released more than 15 albums.  And from the start, theyâve toured relentlessly, bringing their signature brand of âmuscle and melodyâ to fans worldwide.
It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these âWild-Eyed Southern Boys.’
Barnes adds, “This music keeps our wheels on the road.  We’re a band that’s tried to stay honest with what has driven us over the years.  We started out with nothing but bold determination to make our own history and to endure.  Looking back now, it has been our greatest pride to have persevered and attained that level of success and longevity.  For us, it’s the ultimate validation.â
âThe magic’s still there,â adds Barnes.  âIt’s an emotional high for us to keep ‘bringing it’ after all these years. When those lights go down and we all walk up those steps to the stage and hear that crowd roar, itâs a real rush to the head.  It feels like we’re getting ready to strap ourselves in and it just takes off from there.â
