The 2014 Four Winds® Invitational started with the 5K/Fitness Walk on June 15, 2014. Close to 150 participants, of all ages, gathered together for a morning run/walk along the pristine Blackthorn Golf Club. The 5K included some fierce competition with the top three finishers coming in with a time under 19:12.8. All participants enjoyed music and snacks after a great event in support of Memorial Children’s Hospital.
The fun continued with the Four Winds Invitational on Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 22, at Blackthorn Golf Club. The tournament featured women golfers, from around the world, competing on the Symetra® Tour – Road to LPGA. Full of pars and eagles, the 3-day tournament was a close race. Nicole Vandermade became the 2014 Champion with a weekend score of 12-under-par and an impressive eagle on the par-5 16th. To see invitational winners and Symetra standings, visit the leaderboard.
